Adam Darwen is a drummer and educator from Preston. For the past 15 years he has been performing and recording with artists in some of the UK’s most prestigious venues and studios. He has been teaching the drums for over 10 years in schools, academies and at his studio in Penwortham.
Adam is the live drummer for the band ‘White Flowers’ (Tough Love Records). In 2021 the band released their debut album which entered the UK charts. Highlights include playing a sold out show at St Pancreas Old Church, Wide Awake Festival London, Rough Trade Records London and headlining Sea Change Festival, Totnes.
Adam drums for award winning tribute artist, Jared Lee. They perform in theatres all around the UK and recreate the electrifying career of Elvis Presley. Jared is acknowledged as one of the best Elvis Tribute Acts having won awards in New York and Europe.
Adam has also performed at drum clinics, supporting Craig Blundell (Steven Wilson, Frost) and Tom Meadows (Kylie Minogue).
Alongside performing, Adam has a passion for teaching. He loves developing the next generation of drummers and the pride that comes with it. His students have a 100% exam pass rate and he has helped students achieve Grade 8 Distinctions . Adam’s students have been on ‘Young Drummer of the Year’ shortlists, been runner up in the prestigious ‘Hit Like a Girl' contest and have gone onto study music at university resulting in careers in the music industry.
